*  ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY!  If late, you may lose your spot!

*  ONLY BROOM MAKERS CAN STAY! No "watchers" please. This includes spouses, friends, children.  We simply don't have room!

How Does it Work?

Broom making is a unique and very satisfying craft. Learn how to make a custom broom from scratch, and leave Salem with a memorable, hands-on experience!   

Step 1: Select a Broom Handle

Choose an unfinished ash or assorted finished broom handle. Our handles come in small, medium, and large.

Step 2: choose a bundle of Broomcorn

Every broom starts with natural sorghum also known as broom corn. The weight of each broom corn bundle may vary, to accommodate different sized hands. our broomcorn bundles come in small, medium, and large.

Step 3: add a splash of color if desired

All brooms include a bundle of dyed broomcorn to add a splash of color! Colors change based on availability, but we usually have a rainbow of colors to choose from.

Brooms also include a charm and twine covering. Some crafters choose to keep it rustic and simple, while others enjoy customizing their brooms even further by purchasing add-ons, such as dried flowers, extra pendants, charms, bones, crystals, leather, and more.
