Welcome to The Witchery!
The Witchery aims to be a hub of creativity in the North Shore. Guest workshops and events at The Witchery are a way to support local artists and give them an opportunity to share their work and their craft with a wider audience. Explore below to find workshops, performances, markets and much more that The Witchery will be hosting and/or participating in. These all offer a unique experience that you otherwise wouldn't get in our normal selection of crafts and workshops!
The Witchery is proud to welcome Deb Adamson, the author of the brand-new children's book, Goodnight Broom, for this special one-time event. This event will begin with storytime where the author will give a reading of her book and offer signings after which The Witchery will be running a workshop for the little ones to decorate their own brooms! Leaving this event with a new book and their own broom to go with it, your kids won't be able to wait for Halloween!!
"Deb Adamson grew up exploring the Massachusetts shoreline and now lives along the Connecticut coastline. She writes books with heart, humor, and to encourage curiosity. She was a former broadcast news journalist, freelance essayist, and syndicated columnist for Gatehouse News Service. She was also a public relations director and spokesperson for a major US aquarium. She is currently a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators."

You’ll learn how Victorian photographers may have used camera tricks, illusions, and storytelling to capture haunting portraits that convinced many they were really photographing spirits of the deceased. This hands-on workshop lets you step into the past and create your very own ghostly image. A perfect mix of history, creativity, and Halloween fun, this experience is available every Sunday night in October.
Mondays @ 7PM: Oct 6th, 13th, & 27th (continues in the winter)
Instructed by local artist Preserved by Elliot, you'll be taught each step in the process of pinning insects in a way that shows off their natural beauty.
